Nine things, done properly.

From an EV charger to a full rewire, an indoor school to a garden scheme — explained plainly, estimated in writing before we start, tested and certified where the job calls for it. A small family firm, trading since 2007 and registered with the NICEIC.

EV Charger Installation

We have been installing EV chargers since 2016, back when there were about three components inside the unit. Now there are dozens, and choosing between them matters more than it looks: tethered or untethered, where the cable actually has to reach, whether your supply can carry it, load management, solar diversion, app control. We come and look before we quote — that site visit and estimate are free — and we're fully registered to recoup whatever grants are available at the time of installation, so you aren't left claiming it yourself.

EV Charger Fault Finding & Repairs

A charger that has stopped working is not a normal electrical fault — it is a computer bolted to a wall, and half the trade will simply tell you to replace it. We carry EV-charger-specific diagnostic tools and can interrogate the unit properly before anyone talks about a new one. We'll also take on chargers we didn't install, including the ones fitted by companies that have since disappeared.

Rewires & Partial Rewires

We regularly carry out full and partial rewires, normally as part of major building work rather than in isolation — which is the sensible time to do it. More circuits, more sockets where you actually want them, modern cabling throughout, and first fix planned before the plasterer arrives rather than argued about afterwards. One customer had us in for five days on a rewire and described the estimate as clear and the advice as genuinely useful; that's the way we'd like all of them to go.

Extensions & New Build Electrics

Electrical design and installation for extensions, conversions and garden rooms, working to the builder's programme. Because this is design work as much as installation, we'd rather be involved before the walls close up: socket positions, lighting circuits, switching that makes sense when you walk into the room in the dark, and the supply sized for what the room will eventually contain.

Equestrian & Stable Yard Electrics

Haslemere is surrounded by equestrian facilities and there are horses in the family, so this became a proper speciality rather than an occasional job. We have designed and installed the electrics for indoor schools and for entire yards — waterproof down lights that survive a pressure wash, electric water heaters for horse washes, power to tack rooms and barns, and remote-access CCTV so you can check the boxes at midnight without getting dressed.

Garden Lighting Design & Installation

We have been sub-contracted to a garden lighting supplier since 2008, which is an unusual amount of practice at one thing. Over fifteen-plus years we've iterated through generations of LED fittings, cable, transformers and remote and app control, and learned where the light should come from rather than simply where the cable is easiest to run. One scheme we completed with P C Landscapes Ltd went on to win a BALI award.

Fault Finding & Repairs

Decades of doing this means we can generally tell what's gone wrong before we get any tools out of the van. When we do need them, we own our own fixed wiring testers, inspection cameras and a staircase scaffold tower, so awkward access and buried cables don't turn into a second visit. We don't run an emergency call-out service — but we do try to prioritise customers we already look after.

Smart Home, Data & Security Cabling

We're trained in smart home equipment and run structured cabling as part of most bigger jobs: Cat5 and Cat6 to the rooms that need it, access points positioned so the WiFi actually reaches the annexe, smart lighting and heating controls, and security lighting outside. Doing this at first fix on a rewire or extension costs a fraction of retrofitting it later.

LED Upgrades & Interior Lighting

Replacing old downlights with LED is one of the most common jobs we're asked for, and it's worth doing well — the right colour temperature, the right beam angle, dimming that doesn't flicker, and fittings that suit the ceiling rather than the catalogue. A customer who had us update her downlights to LED to cut her electricity costs wrote that the work was excellent and that we turned up on time. We'll do the same for concealed strip, wall lights and pendants.

No badge wall. Ask and we'll send the paperwork.

We're registered with the NICEIC as a domestic installer and approved contractor, which means our work is inspected annually. Plenty of trade sites line up scheme logos you can't check from your sofa; we'd rather send you our current certification and insurance directly, before you commit to anything.
